Odaily Planet Daily reported that Metis officially tweeted that it had taken snapshots of the METIS holding addresses on BNB Chain at two points in time: when Poly Network was attacked and when the attacker first sold METIS. Those who purchased on BNB Chain after the snapshot time METIS addresses will not be recognized. Metis also stated that users are advised not to interact with the METIS token contract on BNB Chain because Metis will deploy a new contract. Additionally, Metis recommended that liquidity providers withdraw all liquidity from Pancake Swap. According to previous news, on July 2, Poly Network suffered an attack. Hackers issued additional assets on several chains through the Poly Network, including nearly 100 million BNB and nearly 10 billion BUSD on the Metis network. On the same day, Metis stated that it had noticed the current situation of PolyBridge and was in contact with the Poly Network team to minimize the impact of the Poly attack and further assess the situation. Regarding newly minted BNB and BUSD on Metis, there is currently no sell liquidity available. All funds on Metis Andromeda are safe. All METIS tokens minted through PolyBridge are locked on the BNB Chain by Poly Network, with limited liquidity.
