According to a recent development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus announced that they are working on a bill that would ban cryptocurrency transfers between individuals.

The ministry stated that this move will help combat the withdrawal of money obtained through criminal means.

This new bill means that peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers will no longer be valid in Belarus and #Kripto money transfers can only be carried out through exchanges.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus shared the official announcement on a page on the VKontakte social network. Since the beginning of this year, law enforcement agencies, which are a priority in the fight against cybercrime, have taken steps against 27 people offering illegal cryptocurrency services.

These individuals earned approximately 22 million rubles through illegal activities. Such services have become popular among criminals who want to convert stolen funds and convert them into cash or transfer money to other criminals. The measures taken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus are part of the effort to combat such illegal activities.
