The situation of former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is considered "positive". Binance co-founder He Yi stated that the situation for CZ, who will be sentenced in the US on April 30 on a criminal charge, was generally calm and that past regulatory pressures were anticipated.

CZ is free on a $175 million bond in the U.S. and has travel restrictions. The US Attorney's Office moved to seize their passports. CZ holds a Canadian passport and is also a citizen of the United Arab Emirates.

Binance is distancing itself from CZ after he resigned as CEO. He was replaced by Richard Teng, Binance's former head of regional markets outside the US. Teng emphasized that Binance is "completely different" under his leadership. The exchange formed a board of directors earlier this month.

According to reports on April 18, Binance has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in Dubai. As a condition of the license, CZ must reportedly waive its voting rights in the local unit, Binance FZE. However, Binance refused to comment on this claim.

How do you think CZ's situation will affect the future of Binance? We are waiting your comments.#Binance#Blockchain #CryptoNews
