#nvesco Reactivates Spot Bitcoin ETF Filing :
Invesco, a global asset management firm with over $1.49 trillion in assets under management, has reactivated its spot $BTC ETF filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission ( #SEC ).
The filing was first submitted in March 2022, but was withdrawn in May 2022 after the SEC rejected several other spot Bitcoin ETF applications.
In its reactivation filing, Invesco said that it believes that the SEC's concerns about market manipulation and liquidity have been addressed by the development of the Bitcoin market since its initial filing.
The firm also said that it is willing to enter into a surveillance agreement with a regulated market or exchange, which would allow the SEC to monitor the Bitcoin market for signs of manipulation.
The reactivation of Invesco's spot Bitcoin ETF filing is a positive sign for the cryptocurrency industry. It suggests that the SEC is becoming more open to the idea of approving spot Bitcoin ETFs, which could lead to increased institutional investment in Bitcoin.
