The founders of the Gemini crypto exchange, the Winklevoss brothers, invested $4.5 million in bitcoins into the Real Bedford football club. The investment was made through their investment firm, Winklevoss Capital. This new partnership puts them on par with cryptocurrency podcaster Peter McCormack, who acquired the club in 2022. 🏈💰

The club plans to use these funds to create a new training center, establish a football academy and support programs for youth and girls.

The Winklevosses became indirectly associated with the club in January 2022 when Gemini became one of its sponsors.

With this latest investment, Real Bedford also plans to create a Bitcoin treasury.
