In response, ApeCoin DAO board member and Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu tweeted that the remuneration paid by ApeCoin DAO was originally designed to be commensurate with the "responsibilities and obligations of the position", and the closest example found at the time was the directors of listed companies.
Siu said that directors' compensation varies due to factors such as risk and responsibility, and different industries pay higher salaries, noting that the cryptocurrency and Web3 industries have a lot of risks and responsibilities.
