🚀 Panasonic joins Jasmy to launch a Web3 platform that will connect personal data in the Internet of Things (IoT). The platform will be based on Jasmy's Personal Data Locker product.
🤝 Jasmy and Panasonic Advanced Technology began their collaboration in February and announced it on March 26. The platform will offer secure data storage and allow users to control access to their data, as well as improve processing and reaction times.
⏱️ Jasmy CFO Hiroshi Harada said the new platform will be built in "3-6 months."
🔐 With Personal Data Locker, only hash values are managed on the blockchain, while data files are stored on a decentralized network. This avoids storage capacity and file size issues.
💰 Jasmy, founded by former Sony executives in 2016, launched its JasmyCoin (JASMY) in 2021 and is described as "the Bitcoin of Japan." Merchants pay Jasmy to use the stored data and the data owner receives JASMY as a reward.
📈 Trading in JASMY, with a market capitalization of $1.1 billion, increased by 111% in 24 hours following the news, reaching a high of $0.024 on March 26.
