Energy and technology company CleanSpark bought 12,500 Bitcoin mining devices

Cleanspark company, which buys tens of thousands of mining devices during the bear season, has announced another new purchase. The company has purchased 12 thousand 500 Antminer S19 XP devices from Bitmain company by paying 40 million dollars.

The company announced that it had purchased 12,500 units of Bitmain's S19 XP machines with an official announcement. A total of $ 40.5 million was paid for the devices.

In the announcement, it was also stated that the price paid was cheap according to market conditions. With this purchase, the company paid Bitmain $ 23 per terahash. August June will deliver 6000 units of the machines, and the rest in August.

Many more devices will arrive in the second half

As of April, Cleanspark's total hash rate was 6.7 exahash per second. With this purchase, the figure will increase by another 1.7 exahash per second. The company had previously announced a target of 16 exahash per second for the end of 2023 in a statement. This indicates that many more machines will start operating in the second half of the year.

They bought discounted machines

The company had purchased the devices from many mining companies that were on the verge of bankruptcy or going through restructuring during the whole of 2022 and at the beginning of 2023. February April purchases of 20 thousand and April purchases of 45 thousand units consisted of these cheap machines.
