Why are so many people enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies?

I live in Shenzhen and my monthly salary is 10,000 yuan. Although it is not too high, it is still decent in this city. In order to save money, I try to maintain a low-consumption lifestyle:

Rent: choose shared renting, 2k per month. Food expenses: cook by yourself, control within 2k. Transportation expenses: choose public transportation, 0.3k per month. Clothing and daily necessities: try to buy affordable ones, 0.5k per month.

Calculated this way, I can save about 5.2k per month. It’s not much, but it’s a lot of effort for me.

However, looking at the housing prices in Shenzhen, the average price is as high as 60,000 yuan, which is daunting. If you want to buy a small house of 50 square meters, you have to prepare 3 million. If I save money at my current rate, I'm afraid it will take several decades. If you choose to take a loan, it will be a lifelong burden.

So I started thinking about other ways to achieve my dream. Cryptocurrency, this seemingly mysterious field full of opportunities, caught my attention. I knew it was high risk and could lose everything overnight, but I also saw the huge potential it brought.

For me, it is almost impossible to live a better life in Shenzhen with a monthly savings of 5.2k. So, I chose to take the risk and pursue that big possible dream. Just like some middle-aged uncles buying lottery tickets, they are all looking for another possibility in life.

Of course, I understand that my choice may not be understood by everyone, and some may even think that I am opportunistic. But I don't care, because I trust my own judgment and am willing to take possible risks.

Fortunately, I made some money through cryptocurrencies, which solidified my choice. Of course, I also know that this is just the beginning, there is still a long way to go, and I need to be more cautious and work hard.
