British bank makes bold prediction for Bitcoin in 2025

In a note published this Thursday (21), the bank Standard Chartered (SC) stated that Bitcoin could reach US$ 250,000 in 2025 if Wall Street's interest in the cryptocurrency remains at current rates.

However, Geoff Kendrick, crypto strategist at SC, also made a point of highlighting that the world's view of Bitcoin has changed a lot since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine. After all, many Russians were sanctioned by the US and allied countries, which weakened the US dollar.

In other words, although today Bitcoin is on the rise due to products held by third parties, its next price climb could be linked to its main characteristics, that is, the fact that it is a decentralized and anti-censorship asset. Bitcoin could reach to US$ 150,000 in 2024 and to US$ 250,000 in 2025, says Standard Chartered

After Bitcoin broke its historic high this March, several investors, executives and companies began to speculate what the new ceiling would be for the largest cryptocurrency on the market. While Richarg Teng, CEO of Binance, pointed out that BTC could reach US$ 80. 000 thanks to the demand for ETFs, Robert Kiyosaki, author of the book 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad', went further to say that his target is US$ 300,000.

Standard Chartered bank is also excited. Although it stated in late 2022 that Bitcoin could reach US$ 5,000 after FTX's bankruptcy, now the SC points out that the world's view on BTC has changed and this could start the biggest bull run of all time.
