🚨 Attention crypto-investors! The GameFi Super Sushi Samurai (SSS) project suffered a withdrawal of $4.8 million from its liquidity pools on March 21, due to a double-spending bug discovered by a self-proclaimed "white hat." The bug is in the _update() function of SSS contracts, which allows the balance to be doubled by transferring all tokens to itself.
🔍 CertiK reported that a user bought 690 million SSS tokens, doubled his balance 25 times and finally sold 11.5 billion SSS tokens for 1,310 ETH (~$4,590,827).
😱 Despite the good intentions of the white hat, the withdrawal of $4.8 million caused the collapse of the SSS token, which lost more than 99% of its value.
