Quick take:
In-game items, freelancers and bots are stored as NFTs on-chain.
The game is built using Pixelverse SDK powered by Pixelchain to ensure low-cost transactions for users and seamless integrations with third-party products.
Pixelverse creator Kirill Volgin is the former CEO of StepApp, which generated $3.85 billion in volume within its first two weeks.
Pixelverse a narrative-driven battler game has revealed plans to launch on Raiser.co in April, along with the Alpha release on the Pixelverse Playground.
Created by Kirill Volgin, the former CEO of StepApp, the game leverages the Pixelverse SDK, and Pixelchain to ensure low-cost transactions for users and seamless integrations with third-party products.
According to the game’s description, Pixelverse is based on an immersive cyberpunk universe called Xenon, where players engage in narrative-driven PvE quests and collect NFT items.
The gameplay involves collecting rare items to craft bots and then upgrading and merging the bots to produce the ultimate battler for the arena.
The game approaches the earning concept of blockchain gaming with a unique perspective, where players are rewarded for the level of risk taken in their attempts to be more competitive. They can stake tokens on themselves to win, with the winner taking all the spoils.
Volgin’s new project is built on strong foundations after his previous venture StepApp generated $3.85 billion in volume within its first two weeks of launching.
Explaining the success of his previous venture, Volgin said in a statement: “This is a brand new milestone for me. Step App has shown itself to be the only move to earn project with an active userbase, sustainable and growing economy and offering true innovation, it has been the market leader for a long time.”
And now, he believes he is ready for his next challenge of launching Pixelverse. Volgin has put together an expert team with deep experience in the web3 and gaming space to help with the development of the project.
“We are really looking forward to creating a cool game for everyone to play, not just web3 users but gamers with no experience in web3, and we really think that Raiser’s Fair Community Offering is the right approach for our go-to-market to engage with our new users and fans,” Volgin added.
One of the people joining the Pixelverse leadership is Mahamadou Cissé, who joins as CMO. Cissé is the former strategy director of collectible NFT card game, Cross The Ages (CTA), which attained unicorn status.
According to the announcement, Mahamadou was crucial in helping CTA secure backing from 60 VC firms and sell over 30 million digital trading cards, also sealing a collaboration with Ubisoft.
