Odaily Planet Daily News Cryptocurrency exchange Zipmex Thailand announced that it has stopped new deposits and transactions on its exchange, citing compliance with Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations. The exchange clarified that withdrawals will be processed normally until January 31, 2024, after which customers will need to contact the exchange’s customer support team for assistance with withdrawals. Zipmex is headquartered in Singapore and also provides services to users in Thailand, Australia and Indonesia. The exchange faces penalties from the Thai SEC for allegedly abusing digital asset custody services and causing a conflict of interest by directing customers to Singaporean exchange Zipmex Pte.
