Investors are unlikely to see a bitcoin spot ETF in the U.S. in the short term, VanEck CEO Jan Van Eck said at the Miami Bitcoin Conference.
"Even if the SEC loses the Grayscale lawsuit, they will only delay the process, so I don't think a Bitcoin spot ETF will be approved in the next year and a half," Van Eck said, referring to Grayscale's ongoing lawsuit against the SEC, in which Grayscale is trying to convert its Bitcoin Trust into an ETF.
