PANews reported on March 13 that ClearToken successfully raised $10 million in seed investment from institutional investors including Nomura Holdings’ Laser Digital, CoinDesk reported. ClearToken, a cryptocurrency clearing house, plans to start offering initial settlement services in the UK this year, subject to regulatory approval. The financing was participated by Laser Digital, liquidity providers Flow Traders and GSR, as well as digital asset companies LMAX Digital and Zodia Custody. ClearToken is committed to providing the advantages of horizontal clearing and settlement for digital assets. The company has initiated the process of obtaining clearing house recognition from the Bank of England and plans to provide central counterparty clearing (CCP) services in the next 12 to 18 months.
