Of course, we won’t miss the world’s largest Web3 #BUIDLathon! As Cartesi gains momentum in the rise of altVM and app chains, we have to make sure we immerse ourselves in the conversations surrounding these topics. Just like that, we stuffed our loot into our suitcases and headed to the high altitudes of Denver.
build week
About #BUIDLWEEK, the six-day event is filled with technology demos, bounty-oriented workshops, and mini-summits for those passionate about building a decentralized future. All in all, there was a lot to do at the venue, and Cartesians weren’t going to sit around waiting.
There are several teams building ETHDenver using Cartesi technology. Let's take a quick look at them:
Meebu
An expressive, no-code governance platform for digital communities.
👷: Brandon, Felipe, Pedro, Gabriel

VeriFido
An additional layer of security for indexers.
👷: Danilo, Carsten, Milton, Bruno
Learn more about their project from Bruno himself!

Rives
World Arcade: Own your own game cartridge, prove your scores and contribute with unlimited creativity.
👷: Max, Carlo, Lyno, Eduardo, Arthur, Felipe

Bubble Wars
A physics-based massively multiplayer online game entirely on-chain, Ethereum is mass and momentum is conserved.
👷: Kavin & Jesse
Cartesian Werewolf
A tried and true version of the classic werewolf game.

但这还不是全部
Everyone knows by now that it's ETHDenver's various fringe events that keep people running wild from venue to venue - and we're no exception. Here’s a quick look at Cartesians’ schedule of events at ETHDenver:
📍 可用的HOT TAKE系列
Carsten participated in a panel discussion to share his insights on Appchains & Frameworks with Paima Studios, ZKCross and Kakarot zkEVM.

📍 Celestia, Goldsky & Dora - 模块化加速
Core contributors João, Carlo, Bruno, Max and Carsten held office hours at the Cartesi booth and we also launched Rives for people to play!
📍 Fuel & Stratos - Execution Day
Featuring lightning talks, demos, panel discussions and lively debates with leaders from top VM projects such as Aztec, EigenLayer and Movement Labs, João represented Cartesi in a presentation focusing on Cartesi’s development journey and engaging with Polygon Miden, RiscZero and Fuel Labs spoke together.
📍 Brazil roundtable meeting
Bruno participated in a roundtable discussion with FuseCapital and Tanssi Network.
📍 Espresso, Electric Capital & Blockworks - Beyond the base layer
This is an event focused on the applications we can build on L2 infrastructure, with two presentations from two fantastic core contributors, Carsten and João.

📍 Cartesi & Espresso - Back to the Future
An evening filled with panel discussions and networking, cocktails in hand. Carsten kicked off the event with his talk on the new narrative, "From World Computer to World Cloud," which delved into the concept of building a world cloud around an ethereal world computer.
This was followed by a panel discussion session where one of our two favorite penguins, Andy from The Rollup, served as the moderator of the Ethereum 2033 panel, discussing Ethereum with Carsten, Brian (RiscZero) and Ben future and how we achieve it. We then had a live AltVM discussion and Q&A session from the comfort of Ellie, Dino (Fluent), Krinza and our own Felipe, moderated by Ian.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Back to the Future Cocktail Night hosted with the Espresso team! It was also great to finally meet the people behind the sequence.

The evening was filled with insightful discussions about the future of EVM and how to extend its limits. Plus, it was great to see everyone holding drinks, having fun, and interacting with each other! In case you missed it, here’s a little video impression of the night.
📍 Cartesi, Rives & WASD - Arcade on the chain
We played Web3 games, ate pizza, drank beers, networked with many other game developers and players in the space, and had a great time!
At the same time, I would also like to express my special thanks to everyone who participated in the on-chain arcade! We were lucky enough to host this event at LocalHost in Denver, an internet cafe that hosts some of the biggest eSports tournaments in the world like CSGO and even World of Wild Rift! We had the whole place to ourselves, pizza and drinks prepared. We love seeing people playing game cartridges on Rives.

Of course, let's congratulate the winner on Nintendo Switch. Congratulations to Felix for winning with the highest score! Hope you enjoy your new console
Sorry for anyone who missed out on trying Rives? You can play from the comfort of your home! Just visit https://rives.io/cartridges to start playing.
