Summer of 2015 marked an unexpected turning point in my life. As an undergraduate Software Engineering student at the Islamic University of Islamabad, I was first introduced to Bitcoin (BTC). A friend of mine, enthusiastic about this digital currency, shared his predictions about its future surge. He urged me to delve into the realm of cryptocurrencies, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize the financial landscape. I, however, dismissed his advice, laughing off Bitcoin as a mere scam. Little did I know how deeply I would regret this initial skepticism.

Over the years, as Bitcoin started to gain recognition and the world of cryptocurrencies expanded, I often found myself reminiscing about that summer conversation. If only I had taken my friend's advice to heart and started learning about this technology early on, things might have been different. I could have been part of an innovative financial revolution from its inception. But alas, I was stuck in the throes of regret, watching from the sidelines as Bitcoin soared in value.

Fast forward to 2019, the end of my graduation, I finally decided to confront my missed opportunity. I started educating myself about cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the exciting new field of decentralized finance. I plunged into a sea of knowledge, absorbing all the information I could about this complex yet fascinating world. My skepticism gradually faded, replaced by a burgeoning curiosity and interest.

Between 2021 and 2022, after years of learning and researching, I finally took the plunge and opened my first trading account. The journey from dismissing Bitcoin as a scam to actively trading in the crypto market was not an easy one, but it was certainly enlightening. I realized that the world of cryptocurrencies was not just about making a quick buck, but about understanding a revolutionary technology that could redefine our financial systems.

Reflecting on my first memory of Bitcoin, I now see it as a valuable lesson. It taught me the importance of keeping an open mind and seizing opportunities to learn and grow. Even though I was late to the party, the knowledge and experience I've gained have been invaluable. The world of cryptocurrencies is continuously evolving, and I'm glad to be part of this exciting journey. My story is a testament that it's never too late to learn, adapt, and embrace change.
