Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark announced that the number of bitcoins mined in the last quarter doubled compared to the second quarter of last year, but its revenue only increased by 14%.
CleanSpark Chief Financial Officer Gary A. Vecchiarelli said revenue growth was hindered mainly due to low Bitcoin prices. Revenue per Bitcoin during the quarter was approximately $22,700, compared with more than $41,000 last year. CleanSpark CEO Zach Bradford said that CleanSpark currently consumes an average of 31 watts per tera hash, and he expects it to drop to 26 watts by the end of this year. (Decrypt)
