Whitelisting of withdrawal addresses is another security feature offered by Binance. If the withdrawal whitelist function is disabled your account will be able to make withdrawals to any address. But when this function is turned on, your account will only be able to make withdrawals to whitelisted addresses.

In other words, only the addresses you whitelist will be able to receive funds from your Binance account. This is very useful because if you ever become a victim of phishing and a hacker is able to hack your account, they will not be able to withdraw your funds.

How to activate it:

After logging in to your Binance account, go to your account page and scroll down until you see the “Withdrawal Address Management” tool. Run it and you will see a confirmation window like this:

After clicking "OK" you will need to enter your 2FA code. If 2FA is not activated, we highly recommend activating it.

Next, click on the Address Management button. You will be redirected to another page where you can choose which currencies can be withdrawn and to which addresses. After selecting the currency, enter the withdrawal label and address to be whitelisted. Make sure the address provided is correct, check the “Add to whitelist” box, and then click Submit.

You will be asked to enter the 2FA code again and you will receive a confirmation email shortly after.

Click "Confirm Add" to finish the process and you will see the following message:

Now that your BNB withdrawal address has been added to the whitelist, you can go to your account and check the Withdrawals page.

As you can see, you will only be able to withdraw BNB tokens to this specific address (or to any other address you eventually add to the whitelist).

This means that it is impossible to download any other address that is not included in the whitelist.

The withdrawal whitelist function should always be turned on, so you have an extra layer of security on your funds.
