OpenSea's former head of product Nate Chastain was found guilty of money laundering and fraud, according to Reuters. Chastain abused his position and chose which NFTs would be featured on the OpenSea homepage. He bought cheap tokens, and after posting them on the main page, he sold them at an inflated price. From June 2021 to September 2021, Chastain earned more than $50,000 using this method. He now faces up to 40 years in prison.
