Golden Finance reported that Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseyev said that cryptocurrencies may be bad for investors, but they may be useful in international settlements. He revealed that Russian authorities intend to set up a special committee to issue licenses to operators who use cryptocurrencies in foreign trade transactions. Moiseyev made it clear that he was referring to Russia's foreign trade activities, which are currently restricted by Western sanctions. He also reminded that a draft law aimed at regulating this matter is still under consideration by the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament.
