PANews reported on April 20 that the Snapshot voting page showed that the ApeCoin community's AIP-230 proposal on "donating $1 million to the Ethereum community" has been voted through. The proposal intends to donate $300,000 to ETHGlobal and sponsor $700,000 to 11 ApeCoin hackathons and at least 5 charity events, in response to Vitalik Buterin's call for Ape to fund public goods in 2022.
The final approval rate of the proposal was 46.21%, the opposition rate was 29.96%, and the abstention rate was 23.84%. In the ApeCoin voting mechanism, abstention does not affect the voting results.
