1. Do not send real mainnet tokens to the Binance Chain test network
The Binance Chain test network is for testing purposes only. Ordinary users can use it to test any features they want to implement, crypto facility providers (such as wallet creators) can test integration with Binance Chain, and traders can test their trading strategies. However, all tokens on the test network are test tokens, which have no funds or benefits associated with them. Binance Chain test network assets are not equivalent to Binance Chain mainnet assets or Binance.com account funds.
Please do not send any real mainnet tokens (BTC, ETH, BNB, etc.) to the Binance test network. You will lose your tokens and cannot recover them. If you want to test tokens, please transfer them to the test network. It is free, you only need a Binance.com account and 1BNB in your account when applying (you can spend 1BNB to get test funds), and you can get funds to multiple addresses through one account.
2. Do not share your mnemonic or private key with anyone
If you share your mnemonic or private key with others, they will have access to your funds and you will lose all control of them. No one can help you get your funds back, not even Binance Chain validators or Binance.
Therefore, please do not share your private keys with anyone, especially someone claiming to be Binance customer support or CZ.
3. Don’t lose/forget your mnemonic phrase
As mentioned above, when you lose your mnemonic and private key, you may lose control of your funds. Even the Binance Chain validator or Binance cannot help recover your private key or mnemonic. You must record your mnemonic securely and ensure that you (and only you) can find it when you need it.
4. Don’t forget to record your mnemonic phrase
A mnemonic phrase can help you recover your private keys and is often used in many hardware wallets to generate seeds for more private keys. This is the best way to recover your private keys, so write it down and keep it in a safe place.
If you want to know more, the Binance Chain mnemonic phrase follows the BIP39 protocol and generates private keys from the BIP32/BIP44 character set.
5. Do not continue to use mnemonics or private keys to unlock your wallet
If you continue to use your recovery phrase and private keys, you are at increased risk of encountering phishing websites and applications. Private keys and recovery phrases should only be used to recover key files, hardware wallets, or mobile wallets.
We strongly recommend that you use Trust Wallet (coming soon), a hardware wallet, or a keystore file to unlock your wallet.
6. Do not use SDKs or trading robots that you do not 100% trust
When you use an SDK or trading bot on a DEX, you must enter your private key into the library or software, at which point you may expose your private key to the outside world and become a victim of phishing. Please make sure that the SDK and trading bot library/software are 100% trustworthy. It is strongly recommended that you use a signing service (coming soon).
7. Don’t send large orders at once
Binance DEX uses a different matching logic than Binance.com. For the average user, the biggest difference is in the larger orders when trading large volumes. If you send a large order at once, the matching engine will think there is a large buy or sell surplus and match you with a worse transaction price. Therefore, if you want to buy or sell a large amount of funds, trade in batches and in small quantities. For example, for the EOS.B/BNB trading pair, if the best buy order is 100 EOS.B at a price of 0.39, the second best buy order is 100 EOS.B at 0.34, and the third best buy order is 100 EOS.B at 0.20, other sellers may give you a sell order for 300 EOS.B at a price of 0.39 or 0.31 (the average price may occur if the same trading strategy occurs on Binance.com), but it is very likely to be 0.20. For less liquid markets, it is better to split into 3 orders, where each order is 100 EOS.B.
8. Do not associate any earnings or gains with tokens on the Binance Chain test network
As mentioned above, tokens on the Binance Chain test network are for testing purposes only. Tokens in your address and test network funds may be reset during test network upgrades. Please note that criminals may use the token earnings or proceeds on the Binance Chain test network to launch online scams and phishing. Tokens on the test network have no monetary value.
