According to Foresight News, The Block reported that ENS developer ENS Labs received a settlement offer from Manifold Finance in the legal dispute over the eth.link domain name. The dispute began in August 2022 and involved multiple parties, including the domain name registrar and Manifold Finance. Manifold Finance proposed a settlement plan requiring ENS Labs to pay $300,000 and sign a "confidentiality and non-disparagement agreement" that will resolve disputes arising from the transfer and sale of the eth.link domain name. ENS Labs is the original owner of the domain name, but the transfer and sale of the domain name has led to complex legal issues.

The case has made some progress after the U.S. District Court in Phoenix, Arizona, issued a preliminary injunction ordering the domain to be returned to ENS Labs, following a failed attempt to renew the domain by ENS Labs and subsequently sold it by GoDaddy, which was eventually auctioned off by Dynadot to Manifold Finance.

Foresight News previously reported in September 2022 that the Ethereum domain name service ENS tweeted that eth.link was back online and the domain name had been returned to ENS. Users can continue to use the service or visit the alternative eth.limo.
