Binance appointed Justin Yek as chief financial officer on Saturday, replacing Kaiser Ng, after hackers stole $6.3 billion from the exchange. Binance co-CEO He Yi said Ng would leave after more than five years at Binance to start another business. Yek previously served as vice president of finance at Airwallex. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation blamed the theft on a North Korean hacking group, an accusation Pyongyang denied. Binance pledged to fully compensate all affected customers.
