Are prices in contracts updated automatically on a schedule, or fetched only when needed?
This is how I understand it: with pull-based feeds, prices are put on-chain only when needed, so they can be updated more promptly. However, the application must check whether the price is too old; otherwise, it might read a stale price.
Push-based price feeds generally update when the price moves beyond a preset threshold or when a fixed heartbeat interval is reached.
