Let's talk about the two modes of oracles.
Each Pyth price feed comes with a confidence interval, which can indicate the degree of disagreement among quotes from different publishers.
One thing many people overlook: pull-based feeds are brought on-chain on demand, so prices can be updated more promptly. However, applications need to check for themselves whether a price is too old; otherwise, they may read a stale price.
When using pull-based price feeds in DeFi applications, check the feed's update time and confidence interval. Don't use feeds directly if they're too old or the interval is too wide.
$PYTH is the token of Pyth, an oracle network designed around a pull-based model.
