A turning point has emerged in the regulatory turmoil. MEXC CEO Vugar Usi recently responded in a post, saying that compliance analytics firm Elliptic has restored MEXC Global to the standard “exchange” category, removing the special risk flag that had previously been applied.

Key points:

1. Funds: The platform’s deposit and withdrawal channels have remained operational throughout. Withdrawal volumes have indeed risen recently, but processing has remained orderly overall, with no suspensions or congestion issues. User assets are safe.
2. Compliance: Elliptic’s risk flag was one of the key triggers of this round of market panic. Its removal means the third-party, on-chain risk assessment has returned to normal.
3. Next steps: MEXC is seeking constructive engagement with FinCEN and has launched an independent review of its anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance controls. It has pledged to continue sharing updates.

It’s important to stay calm: the removal of the flag does not mean the regulatory process is over—the FinCEN-related order remains in effect, and the results of the independent review are not yet available. For ordinary users, “being able to withdraw” and “having zero risk” have never been the same thing. In the short term, limiting exposure to any single platform and following official updates is far more prudent than panic selling or blindly buying the dip.
