⚠️ Wallets with one-click Google/Apple login could be the biggest hidden landmine!
🔥 Keplr, a wallet in the Cosmos ecosystem, has suspended Google and Apple logins: some social-login accounts have seen unauthorized transfers, with the issue pointing to third-party login service Web3Auth (which has suspended its embedded wallet service and says it has not yet found any affected MetaMask users).
📌 Key points:
• Keplr accounts created with a seed phrase or hardware wallet are preliminarily assessed to be unaffected
• Social-login accounts: don't deposit any more funds, and don't reimport them
• Community tracking shows outflows on Osmosis, Cosmos Hub, and Injective totaling $ATOM $OSMO $INJ ; the total losses have not yet been officially confirmed
• Beware of links in DMs offering to “help recover your assets”—they're most likely follow-up scams
🧠 My take: Social login is convenient, but relying on a third party for key sharding means adding another attack surface. For large holdings, consider using a hardware wallet or backing up your seed phrase yourself; use a convenient wallet for smaller amounts.
