The question left at noon was whether to watch rate-hike odds or whether $BTC could keep up with the stock-index rebound. By evening, both sides had numbers to compare.

On rate hikes, the description for topic #JobsReportRaisesHikeOdds added two points: before the data was released, CME FedWatch put the odds of a 25-basis-point hike in December at 72.8%, and September employment was revised up to 60,000. The description for #BitcoinRebounds$75KAsChipsLead said that after the jobs report, the odds of a December hike rose to 77%, and the 10-year Treasury yield touched 4.877%. The two descriptions cited different expectations: one said around 65,000, while the other put the highest forecast at 131,000. The actual figure of 165,000 exceeded both.

As for crypto prices, Binance spot $BTC was just around $76,077, with a 24-hour change of -0.06% and a range of 74,888 to 76,378. That shows it held steady, but it’s not yet keeping pace with the stock-index rally.

The trending rankings also shifted: the jobs-and-rate-hike topic rose to first, with about 226,000 views and 1,824 posts—around 91,000 more views than at noon. Topic #CPITestsDecemberRateOutlook moved up to second, with about 12,500 views and 181 posts; it doesn’t have a description yet. The BTC rebound topic fell to third, with about 19,500 views.

My guess: the focus of discussion seems to have shifted from whether a rate hike is coming to whether the next data release will confirm it.

Would you treat CPI as the deciding data point for a December hike, or do you think this jobs report is already enough? Share your reasoning.
