Bitcoin.com News reported that Zcash has completed Network Upgrade 7 (NU7), shortening the target block interval from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. The upgrade set the reward for each block at 0.52083333 ZEC to maintain the planned daily issuance. Within 24 hours of the upgrade, ZEC rose about 8%, trading at around $1,345 at press time. The next halving is expected in late 2028.
