😂 Greece looked at crypto folks and decided: “Okay, guys, you’re making money out of thin air here, so we might as well collect tax on that thin air!” Soon even Satoshi will have to file a tax return if they find his wallet! 😂

🇬🇷 Greece has approved new cryptocurrency tax rules, which will take effect on January 1, 2027.

▪️ 10% — tax on profits from cryptocurrency trading.
▪️ 15% — on income from staking, lending, and DeFi.
▪️ The first €500 of annual profits are tax-free.

So now the government wants to get in on the crypto market too. The investor buys tokens with their own money and risks their own capital, while the tax authority shows up only after a successful trade. What a convenient business, you have to admit! 😂

It looks like cryptocurrencies are becoming an increasingly active part of the traditional economy. And with market recognition comes the very thing crypto folks have dreamed of escaping since the days of Satoshi: tax reporting.
