At Friday’s open, London’s FTSE 100 fell 1.5%, or 166 points, to 10,615. The Nasdaq fell 5.5% on Thursday, its worst one-day performance in 19 months. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 6%, while South Korea’s KOSPI dropped more than 8% early Friday. However, most stock indexes remain above their levels at the start of the year.
