BlockBeats reports, Nov. 6: Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa made it clear that all data centers currently approved for construction in Texas will be allowed to complete construction. This essentially covers all projects scheduled for 2027, and will likely continue through 2028.

Hinojosa will pass legislation to ensure that all newly approved data centers pay taxes, pledge not to raise electricity rates for consumers, do not affect the public’s access to water, use union labor for construction, and give Texans “a seat at the table”.
