BlockBeats News, Nov. 6 — According to Bloomberg, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is reviewing the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) proposed revisions to rules for broker-dealers related to crypto assets. The proposal would adjust broker-dealers’ financial responsibility, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements to clarify how the relevant rules apply to crypto assets. Although legislation on the structure of the U.S. crypto market failed to make progress in the Senate, the SEC is continuing to advance digital asset rulemaking.

Additionally, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) submitted a proposed revision to its prediction market rules to the OMB this week. The proposal aims to strengthen protections for retail traders and clarify regulatory requirements concerning product governance, market design, and incentive programs.
