It seems the political hype surrounding Donald Trump is starting to lose steam. And the crypto market is taking notice.

The past two days have been particularly interesting for those following tokens associated with the U.S. president.

While Bitcoin is showing signs of recovery, Official Trump (TRUMP) is moving in the opposite direction.

And that's not the whole story.

1. TRUMP: When political hype stops working

On November 5, the Official Trump token was trading at around $1.25, down about 17% over the previous 24 hours.

What's even more interesting is that the decline came against a backdrop of stronger performance by Bitcoin and some major altcoins.

In other words, the market wasn't simply falling along with TRUMP—the token itself was under significantly greater pressure.

One possible explanation is a shift in political expectations following the U.S. midterm elections. The results heightened uncertainty about the possibility of advancing Trump's political initiatives through Congress.

For a memecoin whose popularity is largely tied to the president's persona, this is a significant factor.

And this raises a question: if the coin's main driver is attention on a political figure, what happens when that attention starts to fade?

2. Trump Media transferred 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com

This news deserves special attention.

According to Arkham, wallets linked to Trump Media & Technology Group transferred 4,259 BTC to an address associated with Crypto.com.

That's approximately $342–344 million.

The transfer took place in two transactions:

- 2,140 BTC;

- 2,119 BTC.

Why does this matter?

The transferred coins came from wallets that Arkham identifies as collateral for the company's convertible bonds.

In addition, on November 30, bondholders may demand cash repayment. If all holders make such a demand, the potential liability could reach approximately $1 billion.

This raises additional questions about Trump Media's liquidity.

But there's an important caveat: transferring Bitcoin to an exchange or custodian does not automatically mean it has been sold. The company has previously explained similar transfers as asset custody management and trading operations.

So it would be premature to say that Trump Media is already selling its BTC.

3. Why does this matter to the entire crypto market?

We are seeing a rather unusual situation.

Bitcoin is recovering, but Trump-related tokens are showing significantly weaker performance.

This may indicate that investors are beginning to distinguish between the broader crypto market and political memecoins.

Bitcoin is being bought as an independent financial asset. TRUMP, on the other hand, depends heavily on attention, sentiment, and the political context.

These are two completely different stories.

4. What happens next?

I see three possible scenarios.

The first is a continued decline in TRUMP.

If interest in political memecoins continues to wane and buyers don't return, downward pressure on the price may persist.

The second is a speculative rebound.

Trump remains one of the world's most talked-about political figures. Any high-profile statement or news story could once again spark speculative interest in the token.

The third is a new wave of uncertainty surrounding Trump Media.

If the BTC transfer turns out to be part of preparations for financial operations related to bond repayment, the market may pay closer attention to the company's cryptocurrency reserves.

So far, there is no evidence that these 4,259 BTC have been sold.

My conclusion

The most interesting thing right now isn't even TRUMP's decline itself.

What's more interesting is that Bitcoin and Trump-related crypto assets have started behaving differently.

Perhaps the market is gradually moving away from buying into political hype and returning to assessing real risks.

And this could become an important signal for the entire political memecoin sector.

And now, a question for you:

Do you believe TRUMP can still return to strong growth, or is its main hype already behind it?

And even more interestingly, how do you interpret the transfer of 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com—is it ordinary asset management, or a reason to keep a closer eye on Trump Media's finances?
