You can try shorting too, but don't stubbornly hold on to a losing position.

#美国10月非农出炉:降息还有戏吗? My U.S. Stock Premarket Diary (November 5, 2026): Big players are dumping SNDK, SpaceX, and SOXL—is it time to join the shorts or lie in wait?
Take a look at the premarket volume leaders—don’t be fooled by the “slight declines in the three major indexes.” S&P futures are down just 0.06%, but SOXL is down 6.93% premarket, SNDK 2.93%, and SpaceX 1.06%. This isn’t a broad market sell-off; someone is taking apart the AI hardware trade in a concentrated fashion.
Looking closer, each of the three stocks is being hit for a completely different reason. SND’s earnings showed revenue surging 372% last quarter, but its revenue guidance for next quarter—$10.3–10.8 billion—came in several billion below the market’s $11.148 billion expectation. Its gross margin guidance is flat quarter over quarter, showing signs of peaking.
Adding to that, the political climate in Texas is shifting: the Democratic governor is calling for a pause on new data center construction. Goldman Sachs estimates this could affect around 45% of data center expansion capacity nationwide.
SOXL is a 3x leveraged ETF. Its plunge from 79 to 62.36 triggered a wave of forced liquidations and stop-loss orders.
As for SpaceX, Crew-13 has been delayed due to an oxidizer leak in its propulsion system, while Democrats are also threatening to review government contracts held by Musk’s companies.
Some people are calling this a “total collapse of AI hardware.” I don’t buy it.
GOOGL is up 0.79% premarket at 291.22, AMZN is up 0.74% at 267.99, and META is up 0.91% at 635.75. Software and platform giants aren’t being sold off at all. Money is moving aggressively from the “computing power narrative” to “cash-flow certainty”—it isn’t leaving the market.
Don’t bet on a V-shaped rebound.
SOXL is around 62 premarket. 77.4 is its short-term lifeline; if it breaks below that, watch the 75–76 forced-liquidation zone. If it can’t hold 62 during the first hour after the open today, the short target is 60, with a stop at 62.5 and an initial take-profit target of 58. If you want to go long, wait for a low-volume retest of 62 that holds, then try a small position with a stop at 61.5. Don’t let a losing trade run. $SOXL
SNDK is around 1007. The market hasn’t fully digested the earnings guidance yet. A rebound to 1020–1030 is a window to reduce your position, not add to it. Set a stop at 1045 for a short. $SNDK
SpaceX is around 134. The launch delay is a short-term sentiment factor, but the government contract review is a medium-term variable. For a long, wait to enter at 130–132 with a stop at 128; for a short, try above 140 with a stop at 143. $SPCX
