France's National Assembly rejected the revenue section of the 2027 state budget late Wednesday, excluding three adopted crypto amendments from the bill going to the Senate. The official voting record shows 458 votes against the section, none in favor and two abstentions at first reading. The amendments would tax crypto-to-stablecoin gains, require disclosure of self-custodied crypto holdings worth at least 100,000 euros ($112,000), and raise penalties for crypto platforms that fail to provide requested tax information. The proposals could return in the Senate but must pass the remaining budget stages to become law.
