Golden Pig’s take: The plan was to cut the TradFi taker fee discount for VIP 4–9 from 50% to 40% today, but the official announcement says the change won’t go ahead. Fees are now more favorable than originally planned, but I won’t use lower fees as a reason to increase leverage.
Three things to verify:
1) The 50% taker fee discount (half off) for VIP 4 through VIP 9 remains in place. The planned reduction to 40% off has been canceled until further notice.
2) TradFi perpetual maker fees remain 0 for regular users through VIP 9.
3) Under the current fee schedule, VIP 4 taker fees are 0.0150%, or about 0.0135% after using $BNB to offset fees. Regular users through VIP 3 still get 20% off taker fees.
How to use it: No sign-up is needed; just trade TradFi perpetuals in the futures section and these fees will apply. To get 0 fees, place a limit order. The lower fees are real, but I won’t increase leverage because of them—a single market swing could wipe out all the fees saved.
