Good morning, Thursday. There was a lot of news last night, so I made a cup of tea and sat down to sort through it ☀️

First, on the day Democrats “swept both chambers,” the Dow rose more than 3%, while AI-related stocks broadly fell. My take: the gainers and losers are moving on their own tracks. Let’s focus on the divergence first and not rush to conclusions.

Second, in his first appearance since losing the election, Trump said he wouldn’t replace Hegseth and threatened to “destroy the Democratic Party if I’m impeached.” My take: the words are tough, but what he does next is more worth watching than what he said.

Third, Tom Lee said the AI trade is still very much alive, while Democrats are pushing crypto legislation. My take: AI hasn’t cooled off, and crypto legislation is moving forward too. Both are worth keeping an eye on.

Fourth, if Bitcoin breaks above $82,000, the cumulative short-liquidation intensity on major CEXs will reach $337 million. My take: this is only an estimate of liquidation intensity, not a price forecast. There are a lot of shorts piled up near $82,000.

What I’m watching today: whether post-election comments gain further momentum, and whether the market really gets crowded as Bitcoin approaches $82,000.

Which would you rather hear about first: what happens after the election, or Bitcoin’s $82,000 threshold?
