If you hold BTC, don’t scroll past this: Saylor’s STRC finally touched its $100 par value today, for the first time since May.
According to CoinDesk, once it gets above $100, Strategy will switch from buybacks to issuing more STRC, which could theoretically give it another pile of money to buy Bitcoin with. It slipped a cent to $99.99 before the market closed, so it’s not a done deal yet, and I wouldn’t say he’s definitely buying more right away.
But I think this is a pretty interesting signal: BTC just plunged and bounced back to around $80,000 after election night, and the big players’ buying machine may be about to start up again. I’m still holding spot and keeping my own keys—no chasing the pump.
How much buying pressure do you think this STRC issuance could generate for Strategy? DYOR
