#美国10月非农出炉:降息还有戏吗? U.S. Market Intraday Brief (November 5, 2026): Democrats won, but AI hardware got crushed by its own side?

The market was sharply divided.

Microsoft, Amazon, and Google were all rallying intraday. Amazon was up more than 7% at one point, and Microsoft gained over 5%.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 3.8% intraday. Nvidia, TSMC, and Broadcom were generally down over 2%, while Lumentum plunged 11% at one point. The indexes looked fine, but there was barely a single gainer across the AI hardware chain.

The midterms played a part, but don’t pin it all on the Democrats.

Democrats swept both chambers, and the Texas and Ohio governorships flipped blue. Expectations of tighter data center permitting and AI regulation are real, so it’s no surprise that hardware took the first hit.

But what really drove money from hardware into software was another consideration: the three biggest gainers—Amazon, Microsoft, and Google—are precisely the companies that have spent the most on computing power over the past two years.

The companies paying for it saw their stocks rise 7%, while the companies getting paid saw their stocks fall 4%. The market is repricing “who bears the risk.”

Those buying hardware are betting that capacity will never be enough; those buying cloud and software are betting, “I’m already collecting rent.” The Democrats’ win simply gave investors an excuse to pull back from a crowded hardware trade.

This is an internal AI rotation from “hard” to “soft,” not the end of the AI story. Wait for positioning in hardware to clear out and regulatory expectations to be fully priced in before assessing demand; don’t chase software at the peak—wait for a confirmed pullback.$GOOGL $SOXL $KORU
