The 37th quarterly burn has taken place $BNB : around 1.64 million coins have been permanently removed from circulation. There are now approximately 131.5 million, compared with 200 million at the start.

What I like about this isn’t the number itself, but the predictability. An open formula determines how much to burn: it’s based on the price of BNB and the number of blocks per quarter, not someone’s decision in a meeting. Plus, some of the fees in every BNB Chain block are burned automatically. And the target is known in advance: 100 million coins.

The rules are visible to everyone, and anyone can verify them. That’s why I love Binance.
