The United States held midterm elections, and the latest vote count shows that Democrats have won control of both chambers of Congress. U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated the Democrats.
In a phone call with CBS News, President Trump congratulated Democrats on their midterm election victory.
Trump said: “I congratulate the Democrats and look forward to working with you for the good of our country.”
Trump insisted that many Republicans lost because he was not on the ballot. “I don’t think my name was on the ballot at all, and there was nothing I could do about it. If my name had been on the ballot, we would certainly have won.”
Explaining the reasons for the Republicans’ defeat, Trump added: “In some cases, they didn’t like those candidates; in other cases, those candidates weren’t my friends, and my base knows this better than anyone. So they chose to sit it out. I mean, it’s very unfortunate, because if I had run, we could have easily won. But I didn’t run.”$BTC $ETH $ZEC
