#美国中期选举:市场有哪些期待? My U.S. premarket diary (November 4, 2026): AMD went from +7.5% to a loss— is Musk facing political blowback?

The premarket action has been brutal. AMD’s earnings clearly beat expectations, and the stock soared as much as 7.5% before the opening bell, climbing to around 518. But the gains didn’t hold, and it’s now in the red. Anyone who chased the rally is trapped.

Its gross margin guidance of 55% was just a hair below the market’s 55.3% expectation, giving investors an excuse to take profits.

Meanwhile, index futures staged a V-shaped rebound: Dow futures rose 0.54%, while Nasdaq futures barely turned positive, up 0.15%.

But the semiconductor sector is sharply divided. Micron and SanDisk are still up premarket, while Western Digital and Qualcomm have turned negative. Nvidia is up just 0.39%. Tesla and SpaceX are still taking hits, down more than 4% and nearly 4%, respectively. The political-risk bill hasn’t come due in full yet.

AMD’s reversal is a blow to the linear thinking that “an earnings beat has to mean the stock goes up.” Investors haven’t given up on AI hardware—they’re just buying selectively, sticking to cleaner positions. After the stock opened sharply higher and got knocked back, watch how it holds up after the market opens. Don’t jump in at the very peak of the excitement. #AMD超预期大涨,AI叙事延续? $AMD $SPCX $SOXL
