$HOT back above 0.000483 after two closes below: reclaimed at midday after two morning breaches, up about 18% over 24h

The line marked in yesterday’s launch post was briefly breached this morning, but reclaimed at noon—the $HOT move isn’t over yet.

First, the price action. At 10:00 and 11:00 today, two consecutive 1h candles closed below 0.000483 (at 0.000476 and 0.000466). By yesterday’s criteria, that counted as two closes below, confirming the break on a retest. But the 12:00 candle closed back above at 0.000488, followed by another confirming close at 13:00 at 0.000516. Both closes back above came with volume in the 420,000–440,000 USDT range—not on declining volume—triggering the 13:38 round’s preset condition: “two closes below, with the break confirmed on a retest.” The 13:00 hourly high of 0.000528 was the day’s peak. At the time of writing, spot was around 0.000502, up about 17.6% over 24h, with spot 24h trading volume at about 12.15 million USDT. Price is still above 0.000483, but the 14:00 candle has not closed yet, so this does not count as confirmed support.

Why this level? 0.000483 was marked as the “next leg” level in the November 3 launch post: only a close above it would suggest room to move higher, while the move would only be considered a failure if the close fell back below 0.000400. This morning’s dip reached a low of 0.000457, without touching 0.000400. After the recovery, the structure remains “hold–reclaim,” not a breakdown.

Let’s be clear about the catalyst: the underlying event is still HoloFuel’s official launch on November 1, with HOT convertible to HoloFuel at a 1:1 ratio (the conversion window is at least six months, with no conversion fee apart from gas)—not new news today. What’s new today is follow-up coverage from two outlets: KuCoin’s November 4 daily report and an article published today by InteractiveCrypto both attributed HOT’s roughly 20% gain over the past 24 hours to progress on this migration. In other words, the news is old; today’s closing confirmation is new. Don’t reverse the cause and effect.

The risks are just as clear: OKX has no HOT perpetuals, so funding rates and open interest aren’t available, making it impossible to assess how crowded the derivatives market is. $BTC also just closed back above 77,620 at 13:00 today (at 77,748). The broader market is recovering, so it’s hard to separate how much of HOT’s move is a market-wide rebound and how much is specific to HOT. If you’re chasing the rally, remember the invalidation level: if a 1h candle closes below 0.000483 again, treat this recovery as a false reclaim; two consecutive closes below would put us back in the morning’s breakdown scenario. Only a close above today’s high of 0.000528 would justify talking about the next leg.

What’s your take on this kind of “morning breakdown, midday recovery” move—is it a shakeout, or are buyers really stepping in around 0.000483?
