Japanese telecommunications group NTT Inc (TYO:9432) raised its annual profit forecast on Wednesday, citing stronger-than-expected performance in its mobile phone business.
Operating revenue rose 8.7% year over year to 7.36 trillion yen in the six months ended September, reaching a record high, the company announced.
By contrast, operating profit fell 12.2% to 830.10 billion yen, while net profit attributable to NTT declined 16% to 500.20 billion yen.
