Midterm election outlook: House control may change hands, hindering Trump’s policy agenda

Nov. 4 — According to foreign media reports on Tuesday, Democrats are expected to regain control of the House of Representatives in this midterm election, ending the Republican majority in the chamber.

Analysts say that if control of the House changes hands, Washington may face divided government, making it harder to advance legislation championed by Trump. Partisan clashes between the White House and Congress are also likely to intensify.

Immigration control, federal spending, Trump’s global tariff policies, and issues related to Iran are expected to become key battlegrounds between the parties.

More importantly, after taking control of the House, Democrats will wield greater congressional oversight and investigative powers, placing further constraints on the Trump administration’s policies and actions.

In response, Trump took a hard line in a media interview on Election Day, saying that if Democrats win control of Congress, he will frequently exercise his presidential veto power to force them to reach bipartisan agreements with him.

What do you think? After control of the House changes hands, will Trump’s policies face “全面围堵” (a sweeping blockade) or “政治僵局” (political deadlock)? And what impact might this have on the cryptocurrency market? Share your thoughts in the comments!
