Midday review | $BTC 11: Price dipped below 76389 intraday, then recovered; closed at 77240 at 12: support held on a closing basis, but 77620 wasn’t reclaimed

In my morning post, I said the reclaim had failed and the lower-level setup had returned. Let’s check the numbers at midday. I need to revise that conclusion slightly: the breakdown hasn’t been confirmed, and neither has the reclaim.

First, the closing-price sequence. The 11:00 candle hit an intraday low of 75736, dipping below 76389, but closed back at 76496. The 12:00 candle closed at 77240, with about 53.6 million USDT in volume. In other words, support held on a closing-price basis; the intraday dip below it doesn’t count as a confirmed break. But 77240 is still below 77620, so the morning’s failed-reclaim call hasn’t been overturned. Neither side has closing confirmation, leaving us in this in-between state at midday. This is neither the start of a new downtrend nor a reversal.

$ETH is also around 2272, up about 0.67% over 24 hours, with no independent move. On funding rates, BTC is around 0.01% and ETH around 0.009%—both near zero. Open interest is about $2.528 billion for BTC and $1.420 billion for ETH. There’s no sign of a crowded short squeeze setup; this midday move is mostly spot trading around key levels.

For altcoins, I’ll only cover those with a change in their closing prices. HUMA closed at 0.01960 at 11:00 and 0.01988 at 12:00, with two consecutive closes below 0.020. It was still range-bound this morning, but by midday I’m treating it as a breakdown. To invalidate that view, it first needs to reclaim 0.020 and then confirm with the next candle. BMT closed at 0.02918 at 12:00, still above 0.026, but volume has been declining steadily and it hasn’t made a new high. It still hasn’t cleared the catalyst hurdle, so I wouldn’t chase it. LSK closed at 0.2020 at 12:00, above 0.1919, with volume of about 737,000—more than twice that of the previous hour. The backdrop is the November 3 announcement about the November 2 chain shutdown and roughly 5.2 million tokens awaiting destruction; this isn’t new news today. And with 24-hour turnover of only about 3.33 million, liquidity is thin, so it’s observation only. HOT’s 12:00 candle closed back above 0.000483, but one candle isn’t enough to count as a recovery; watch the next candle at 13:00.

Let’s separate the new headlines from the old ones. New: after the Senate prediction post at 12:38, the Associated Press still hasn’t called control of either chamber. A prediction isn’t a call, and seats in places like Michigan haven’t been called either. Binance’s November 4 proof-of-reserves snapshot is today’s plan; generating the proof takes about 40 to 50 hours, so the results aren’t out yet. Old: Monday’s $399 million net ETF outflow is yesterday’s figure, and the Mercado and Binance reports were also published yesterday or overnight. No need to recycle them.

My view in one sentence: from the afternoon until before the European session, watch just two closing prices. Only a close above 77620 would let us talk about a recovery in the reclaim; only a close back below 76389 would confirm the breakdown. Chopping sideways between those levels is the most normal outcome. Chasing rises or selling drops around the middle is the easiest way to get caught on both sides.

Risk warning: This is just a midday review, not investment advice. Prices can change at any time; manage your own position.

Before the European session, are you betting that price will first close above 77620 or first close below 76389?
