On-chain investigator ZachXBT alleges that French banking group Crédit Mutuel Arkéa may be the victim of a cryptocurrency theft involving more than $133 million. ZachXBT suspects that over-the-counter trading may push the estimated losses even higher. The bank’s alleged involvement in the incident has not been independently verified; as of publication, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa had not responded to a request for comment. Kraken and Crypto.com said they had restricted relevant accounts or frozen related funds. Both exchanges said their platforms remain secure.
